Stewart Wilson, or Stewie, is “a part of the furniture” at Rosewood, and is a valuable long term employee at the station. We’ve been meeting up with Stewie for as long as we’ve been going to Rosewood, and he has always welcomed us, and been a great help when we’ve needed mechanical assistance.
If Stewart is not at Rosewood, it’s likely he’s spending time off at Timber Creek on the Victoria River, which is the gathering place for keen fisherman in the area.
Stewart is one of those multiskilled people often found on cattle stations, who can turn their hand to whatever needs to be done – truck driving, mechanical maintenance and repair.
