It’s as good now after 15 years of riding as the day it arrived.
We love our Kent Saddles. I was lucky enough to be given the privilege of riding in a brand new Station Special in the stockcamp at Birrindudu 1999. It fitted every horse I was given for the season, no sore backs or bum (except when i came out of it). By the end if the year I couldn’t face getting back into my old saddle so ordered one for myself and used it for the next season. It didn’t need any breaking in, handles no maintenance, fits every horse, ok after a night spent in the bush on a lost horse. The original rough out is now shiny but not slippery.
It’s as good now after 15 years of riding as the day it arrived – its number is 296 99. (Back then Kent Saddlery had the number then year at end.) My husbands saddle (front one) is even older bought out of the truck in 96 at Bunda station – pre numbering. We don’t do as much riding now we are settled in NSW, as we use to on the stations but can’t see us ever needing another saddle.
