We (Lyle and Helen) were saddened earlier this week to learn of the passing of Dave Love, retired station cook, on Saturday, July 28. His funeral was held at Mt Isa on Thursday, August 2.
We first met Dave in 1999 and he was the longest serving cook we have known during our years of travel.
Dave didn’t miss being included in a single station group photo since 2001 (Lissadel WA, Scott Creek NT and Aroona NT) and he valued and appreciated those mementos of his years of service to the industry.
