A practical and easy to wear radio pouch. The radio fits securely into the custom designed pouch while the leather extension at the back is securely riveted to the back of the pouch, forming a generous, sturdy belt loop.

• Leather aerial lug, a small purpose shaped strap made of solid leather, designed with a slot at one end to fasten to the brass post on the front of the pouch and hole punched at the other end to loop over the radio aerial, ensuring that radio stays secure.
• Webbing “Doovalacky” Puller** attached inside the pouch to ensure easy removal of the radio without causing damage to the radio aerial.

**WEBBING ‘DOOVALACKY’ PULLER

Many workers on cattle stations strap on their radio pouch first thing in the morning and don’t take it off until they have a shower at night. Each radio needs to be charged overnight and without the “Doovalacky” puller, radios are frequently pulled out of pouches by the aerial, and there’s a strong risk that the aerial can be pulled right off!

Some years ago, (Don’t ask how many!) Neville Dahl of Sophie Downs Station, WA, recognised the problem and suggested that we should attach a piece of leather lace across the bottom of the pouch and reaching to the top. When pulled from the top the radio would then ‘pop out’ of the pouch. We took Neville’s great idea, modified it a bit and now on all Kent Saddlery Radio Pouches it’s a standard feature.
