The Williams cheekpiece allows for multiple rein positions. When connected to the main ring the bit acts as a loose ring, and when connected to the bottom ring it promotes pole flexion by creating more positive poll pressure. The Williams cheekpiece helps to prevent drifting.
The Bombers Control Plate is set at 45° to follow the contour of the horses tongue. Consequently, a horse who uses his tongue as a means of pushing against the bit and therefore taking control, will draw back and tuck his chin in, coming back to a better point of control. This differs from a Dr Bristol which sits horizontally with the edge of the plate on the tongue.
Distance between rings: 130mm.
Bombers Bit cheek pieces are available with any mouth piece. For a different mouth piece to suit a particular cheek piece please contact us and we will be able to order the bit you require.
