Wernadinga Station

Lyle and Helen have been visiting us here at Wernadinga each year. They are unfailingly polite and courteous whilst staying and fit in to whatever your schedule. Their products are of high quality and their service and attention to detail is exemplary.

Owners Alister and Jo McClymont, Richmond, AJM Pastoral

We first visited Wernadinga in 1992, and look forward to visiting each year. It is situated near the Leichardt River Crossing in the Gulf area of North QLD, which is one of our favourite lunch stops. Each year the crossing has a different look with the huge sand deposits shifted by the power of the water during the wet season, and the waterfalls either rushing or quiet.

Alister and Jo McClymont extended generous hospitality to us when they lived there, and Mick and Martha, as current managers (with children Patrick, Chloe, Lizzie and James), continue to extend a welcome which we appreciate. We also value the purchases of Kent saddles over the years.

Our daughter Jess’s associations with Wernadinga include great memories of good times spent playing with Michaela McClymont and the not so good experience of cane toads! During her early primary years we would have to carry or piggy-back her after dusk, and now she’s still not keen about getting too close to them! (That also goes for her mother!)
