“Thirty Years at Sophie Downs, dependent on the Bush” is the title of Neville and Jim’s story in “Stories of Australian Country People”. Incredible crop production in Pindan country south of Broome, WA, at Shelamar Station. In 40 hectare “circles of soil”, with water spread by centre pivot, sweet corn, beans, and melons thrive (and taste just delicious!). Crops are transported to Perth for export and distribution Australia wide.
Loz and Ebony very excited about purchasing a bridle for Loz’s horse—to be used in the muster next morning at Yarrie Station, Pilbara, WA. “Can’t wait to put it on my horse!” (“….so I’ll try it myself!!”).
