Well satisfied after a delicious chicken dinner, followed by Pavlova, Helen & Lyle had time for a catch-up and photo with Dave Love, Aroona Station’s cook.

It was a mixture of ‘Glad and Sad’ to find their dear friend Ethleen Barnett’s story. Ethleen passed away in 2015 and some of her life story is found in “..in the best of times”
Lloyd Hick, of Thorntonia Station in Queensland Gulf stopped long enough on his way to the cattle yards to smile for the camera and hold the Coffee Table Book “Stories of Australian Country People” which features the Hick family story ‘Looking at the Horizon”.
The “Ginger Ninjas” Riley and Shayla McDonald of Thorntonia Station in Queensland’s Gulf were just as happy in 2016 as they were in 2015 to front up for a photo shoot.

Lyle and Helen had the privilege of attending the Anzac Day dawn remembrance at Gregory Downs Station in the Qld Gulf.
On 11 and 12 April, Helen Kent’s Stories of Australian Country People was officially unveiled in Broome during the two-day Beef Up forum presented by Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and the Kimberley and Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association in Broome.
