Following recent rain, 2016 is a year for the most magnificent display of wildflowers Lyle and Helen have ever seen.
The wonderful results of rain across far South West Queensland’s Channel Country. A waterhole at Naryilco Station.
Julia Palmer said, “We love our copy of Kent Saddlery’s Stories of Australian Country People! It’s always fun to read about ranching in other parts of the world and this book combines the stories with beautiful photos of both the people and the land. It captures both hardships and joys of working and living on the land.”
Jon Cobb, Manager of Durham Downs Station, in far south west Queensland’s Channel Country, couldn’t stop smiling at the sight of the rising flood water just beyond the homestead veranda.

Each year as Lyle and Helen drive the Arrabury Road towards Innamincka, south west Qld, they can’t help but stop and take a photo of these old shearing yards. Each year a little bit more tumbled-down.
At South Galway Station, Windorah, south west Queensland, Emily Aird and head stockman Benny Hewitt were working as part of the team to process the cattle coming through the yards.
