The company was founded by Frederick Harold who migrated from the UK at the time of Federation. During the Boer and First World War the factory started making boots as well as shoes. The tradition of making the finest footwear in the country has continued to this day. Frederick Harold was succeeded by his son Alexander and in turn by his son Ian Harold The Bootman.
Since its inception, Harold Boot Company has made practical country footwear to suit the harsh Australian country terrain. Harolds have always prided themselves in making the strongest and most durable boots.

Harold boots are now manufactured in Vietnam. All boots pass through Australian Quality Assurance prior to dispatch.
