“For the past six years we have been fortunate to have Kent Saddlery not only visit our property but also supply our saddlery and personal work gear needs through out the year.
During this time we have purchased over 20 fully mounted saddles – 7 of these saddles were presented as awards, as were numerous bridles, halters etc. We have found the saddles to be of a very high quality and have proven to handle the tough conditions of the far North Western Gulf.
When mustering, they have also proven to be very light weight and robust. The invaluable service Kent Saddlery has provided to Riversleigh on their visits is also of high quality. When Kent Saddlery rolls in, so do the celebrations to mark an exciting time to shop without leaving home.

Lance and Kylie are the managers at Riversleigh Station in the Gulf area of North QLD. Riversleigh Station is owned and operated by the Lawn Hill and Riversleigh Pastoral Holding Company. This couple hold a unique and responsible managerial position with the company, which uses Riversleigh Station as a centre for the employment and training of indigenous workers for the cattle industry. They are caring and conscientious in their approach to their task, and from our observation, fulfil a parental as well as supervisory and teaching role. They cheerfully and patiently deal with the combined needs of the station, their own family, and the trainees, who are part of the extended family. It’s a privilege to provide saddles and gear for the training scheme, to visit Riversleigh and feel so welcomed and appreciated.
