Bombers Bit, Kimberley Dee, Snaffle
$175.00The Kimberley Dee cheekpiece prevents pinching of the lips and gives a solid feel against the side of the face. It also prevents the bit being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower than a Loose Ring and introduces some poll pressure.
The Bombers Snaffle mouthpiece is popular due to the curved mouthpiece which distributes pressure more evenly over tongue and bars. With the offset centre link it will reduce nutcracker action and pressure points on the tongue.

Bombers Bit, Loose Ring Tube, Snaffle
$175.00The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief for the tongue and bar pressure. The bit immediately resets to a neutral position in the horse’s mouth. The Loose Ring Tube cheekpieces lie flat against the horse’s face giving a more solid feel against the side of the face, while preventing pinching of the lips and the bit being pulled through the mouth. The mouthpiece is quite fixed in the mouth and concentrates pressure on the bars but the loose rings allow for a quick release.

Bombers Bit, Loose Ring, Happy Tongue, 14/10mm
$160.00The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse’s mouth. The Happy Tongue is a solid mouth piece. It is curved and ported to give tongue relief. The Happy Tongue would be a good place to start if your horse is:
- Shaking its head
- Sticking its tongue out
- Sucking its tongue back and as a result making an intermittent coughing noise
- Trying to put its tongue over the bit
- Going behind the bit to avoid the contact
- Snatching the reins forward and down
- Distance between rings – 125mm.(5 inches)
The rider will know immediately if this is the correct bit, as a horse with a sensitive tongue will finally begin to work into, and accept the contact. Changing the cheekpieces would then allow the rider to adjust the level of control.
